1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShortVox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Description of Service

ShortVox is an AI-powered video commentary platform that allows users to upload short video clips and generate AI-driven voiceovers, commentary scripts, and synchronized subtitles.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Content, Intellectual Property, and Artificial Intelligence

You retain ownership of all videos and content you upload to ShortVox. By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, limited, non-exclusive license to process, transform, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-Generated Outputs: The commentary scripts, voiceovers, and subtitles created through the Service using artificial intelligence are yours to use commercially, subject to these terms. ShortVox does not claim ownership of content generated for your videos.

Disclaimer on AI Content: You acknowledge that the Service uses experimental AI technology. The outputs may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or infringing on third-party rights. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and determining the legality and factual accuracy of the AI-generated content before publishing or distributing it. ShortVox disclaims all liability related to the outputs generated by our AI models.

5. Acceptable Use and DMCA Policy

You are strictly prohibited from using the Service to generate or process:

  • Copyrighted materials without the explicit permission of the owner.
  • Content that violates privacy rights or constitutes defamation.
  • Hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit content, or content promoting illegal acts.

DMCA Copyright Takedowns: ShortVox respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed by a user of our Service, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to legal@shortvox.com with the detailed URL and evidence of copyright ownership. We will swiftly terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

6. Payment Terms

Subscriptions are billed up-front on a monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods or unused credits.

Please review our No Refund Policy for full details.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ShortVox, its officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms and Conditions or your use of the Service, including but not limited to your Uploaded Content and your publication of AI-generated deliverables.

8. Limitation of Liability and "As-Is" Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SHORTVOX EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortVox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding and confidential arbitration, rather than in court. You waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. Arbitration will be conducted in a mutually agreed location or remotely.
